complicated and involved as you might think. You might be
surprised how easy it is to develop a professional looking site
with just a little knowledge and a little creative ability.

Dreamweaver is a world class design & development tool.
It is used by many professional web designers and with a little tuition you too
could master sufficient skills to produce a professional looking site

Introductory courses in Dreamweaver will give you sufficient knowledge build & publish a site. It will also give you a good base on to which you can develope your skills further. Once you have learnt the basics and realised the potential at your finger tips, you will almost certainly want to build your knowledge and skills in this area.

What Does the Course Include?

• Basic introduction to the constructs of a web page & how the internet functions
• Planning your site, navigation, content, style, visitor considerations, target markets
• Introduction to Dreamweaver and the design environment
• Creating basic pages
• Adding text, images, creating buttons, hyperlinks, tables & more
• Controlling behaviours & attributes, opening new browser windows, pop ups etc
• Creating templates and introducing CSS ( cascading style sheets ) to save time, effort and create a continuous style throughout the site
• Publishing your site and introduction to meta tags, key words and more
• How to get your site listed on the search engines
• How you can develop your site further

It is possible for absolute beginners to attend these courses, however knowledge of how to manipulate graphics & images aswell as the ability to use a web browser and manipulate files & folders would be advantageous.

When enquirying about courses we will ask about you current knowledge so that the course can be adapted to suit the audience. If you feel uncertain about your abilities and would prefer one to one tuition, it can be arranged although the fees tend to be a little higher than they would be in a group format.

Extra tuition can be provided for absolute beginners prior to attending a group session to ensure the basic concepts are in place.

Group Tuition

Training courses are based on a maximum of eight people in any one group. The course lasts for three days and runs from 10am until 4pm. They can either be held in a workplace/ home or at a venue in the North East.

Whilst the Dreamweaver software will be available to you during the course, you will need to purchase a copy to develop your own site. We recommend however that you do not purchase the software prior to the course as you may decide that dreamweaver is not for you. You can however download a 30 day free trial of the software from the Macromedia website. This gives you the opportunity to have a look prior to purchasing the package.

Advice will be given about the best way to purchase the software on the course.

Personal Tuition

Tuition can be provided on a one to one basis which may be more appropriate for some people. This allows the training to be pitched directly to your abilities and progress will be made at a speed that suits you. Tuition can either be held in a workplace or at home or at a suitable venue. However one to one tuition is only available within the Newcastle Upon Tyne area.

These type of tutorials are flexible, they can either be held over a period of weeks, with two hours sessions or on an intensive two day course plus any additional hours required based on individuals ability or particular needs.

Cost

The cost of the course is dependant on location and numbers attending.

Group Instruction Courses start from £150.00 per person

Individual tuition starts at £20 per hour
